Do you know of any players that swansea have interest in this month ed? Gameirro and Gaitan from Atletico linked this morning. Mimoun Mahi is of interest and would be an option

Swansalona

{Ed002's Note - Nico Gaitan is already subject to an offer from elsewhere but Swansea would be interested at the right price. Kevin Gameiro might be available but could be very expensive and will not fancy a relegation battle. Mimoun Mahi provide an option to Gaitan and Nelson Oliveira to Gameiro. Dimitrios Siovas will be considered if Mawson leaves.}

1.) 16 Jan 2018 16:38:29
Thanks ed. The Swans are willing to spend in January contrary to reports. Any news on departures?

{Ed002's Note - Only that there is interest in Mawson.}

2.) 18 Jan 2018 17:18:18
thanks ed!

{Ed002's Note - You are welcome.}

What are you expecting today ed?
Thanks!

Swansalona

{Ed001's Note - a striker and Sanchez is probably all that will get done now.}

1.) 31 Aug 2017 10:07:22
Thanks ed. your thoughts on swansea's window?

{Ed001's Note - bit of a mess imo. Losing Siggurdsson and Llorente is a disaster, particularly Llorente. Goals are so difficult to come by that you can't afford to let a goalscorer go unless you have one already lined up to replace him.}

28 Jul 2017 11:54:40
Bony being linked with a move back to Swansea. I would assume this would be if Llorente leaves but I can see him and Llorente could form a good partnership together.

1.) 29 Jul 2017 00:08:15
Saw links with Negrado too. Would love to see the swans sign another striker and maybe play two up top like at the end of last season but I think you're right and it will be as a replacement for llorente

2.) 31 Jul 2017 17:48:23
Yeah I was going to post about Negredo but forgot to in the end haha. Negredo would be a good signing imo, knows where the back of the net is and he is really the kind of striker that suits Swansea (like Bony, Gomis, Llorente etc.)

According to the South Wales evening post (which is very reliable for Swansea rumours), Jonathan Viera is seen as the replacement for Siggo. Apparently Las Palmas are asking for €30m.

Swansea sign 20 year old Cian Harries from Coventry. Never heard of him before but he's apparently highly rated. From what I read, he'll be in the U23s this season

Hey ed, today?

Swansalona

{Ed002's Note - Ye - remind me about 4.}

1.) 06 Jul 2016 13:18:37
Will do!

02 Jul 2016 13:16:04
I've probably got some bad timing again ed but could we possibly have that transfer update? I hope you're not too busy but I understand if you are.

Swansalona

{Ed002's Note - Please try Tuesday or Weddnesday when I will have some time. Sorry.}

1.) 02 Jul 2016 17:32:41
It's fine ed, I don't want to be too much of a pain.

19 May 2016 19:49:18
Any chance of a transfer update ed?
Thanks!

Swansalona

{Ed002's Note - I don't have the time right now - pleae try in a week or so.}

Do you still believe that Swansea can challenge for the top 6 this year Ed?

Swansalona

{Ed001's Note - they can, but it is looking less and less likely they will. It is hard to believe just what has happened, but it is clear the players are still playing for Monk. The attitude when they went 2-0 down yesterday showed that.}

1.) 22 Nov 2015 20:34:00
Do you have any idea why it's going so wrong at the moment?

{Ed001's Note - it is just one of those things, it happens to every manager at some point. This is when they really learn how to manage, but often it is done in the lower leagues, away from the spotlight, so you don't see it. Klopp had a similar issue last season, Mourinho is going through it this season. The problem Monk has is that he doesn't have the back ups to switch in when his first 11 lose form, no one to make them fear for their place. So instead he has to find other ways to motivate them and get them back to form.

Only time will tell if he has the ability to lift the players and get them back to form again. Personally I think he needs some experienced help to open his eyes to other options. Either way, I do expect him to sort things out, to a degree at least, and I don't see any danger of relegation this season. My issue is if he has that inspirational quality needed to lift the players to the next level.}

2.) 23 Nov 2015 19:21:32
Monk seems like such a nice bloke too so it'd be a shame to see him go and the players clearly love him and respect him. So long as the team is still playing for him then he shouldn't get the sack-unless of course results are that bad. Tough games coming up now as well which is not what Monk will want in this difficult time! I'm not sure if you regularly watch the swans ed but a friend of mine said that the first half against Bournmouth was the worst he has ever seen them play. I'm not sure if he was over exaggerating but the fans can't be happy with this. That being said, I have faith in Huw Jenkins not to be swayed by the fans and I believe that he is one of the best chairmans in the league so whatever the club does, you can only back them and hope that they are doing the right thing as they have done in the past.

{Ed001's Note - I get to watch every Prem game over the course of the week, so watch a fair bit of them, though I haven't yet seen this match. They are playing for him, but they are clearly totally bereft of confidence.}

3.) 23 Nov 2015 21:00:43
Lucky you Ed! Not going to help the players' confidence playing an in-form Liverpool side which looked outstanding against City on Saturday.

{Ed001's Note - as a Liverpool fan, I hope you are right. Though it is games like this that Monk can treat as a freebie, no one will expect anything, so losing should not really knock confidence, but getting a result will lift it massively. Oh and try this: http://goo.gl/RQwL7 they usually have the matches online.}

4.) 24 Nov 2015 22:20:07
Thanks Ed! Is that site legal though?

{Ed001's Note - good question, I am not sure. There are definitely legal sites out there, usually they require a subscription. I haven't checked that particular site out I linked to you, but ones that are legal (and used by scouts and football clubs around the world) are wyscout.com, instatfootball.com and info.scout7.com

5.) 25 Nov 2015 15:54:12
Thanks for that ed. I had a bad experience with an illegal site last Saturday whilst watching Liverpool-Man City where a virus very nearly found its way onto my computer. I'll check out those sites though!

Surprised to see Dyer shipped out. Been a loyal servant to the club.
I heard Barrow could be recalled as cover but I don't see the sense in the Dyer deal if that's the case.

Swansalona

{Ed001's Note - he was only loyal because the offers didn't come in mate. There were a number of times he made it known he would be open to a move but no one firmed up their interest so he stayed.}

1.) 03 Sep 2015 17:11:18
Not been impressed with him for quite a while now, he's looked very average at best for a couple of seasons now and the fact that he was poor against York the other night says something really!
Expect he'll move permanently next season to somewhere

{Ed001's Note - sometimes players need a fresh start, I just think the club had outgrown him personally. He is just not at the level of the rest of the team. Lots of pace, but not enough technical ability.}

2.) 04 Sep 2015 00:09:31
Yeah I can agree 100% that the team has outgrown him. Let's hope he can put together some good performances for Leicester now he's there!

{Ed001's Note - the better he plays the better the fee when he is sold.....}

Anyone else on the books? Louis Van Gaal was linked this morning. What's your opinion of the whole situation ed?

Swansalona

{Ed002's Note - I am not aware of anything at this time nor anyone approaced. I cannot see that Louis van Gaal would be interested in managing Swansea at all. The owners need to take advice.}
